If the visitor takes no action, the next steps depend on your legal team's guidance—some businesses may choose to fire the script after a set period, while others may require explicit consent before deployment. You can also configure the script to never fire unless the candidate engages.
   

 💡 Keep in mind that certain jurisdictions, such as California, have regulations requiring scripts to remain inactive until the user opts in.
